6 Things I Learned Writing My First Bullet Journal.

Image
It has been a year since I started writing my Bullet Journal ( What is a Bullet Journal).   I can see a drastic change in the way I do things.  Being a Homemaker with a toddler running around the house I was always overwhelmed with the daily routine.  I cannot fit everything in the available time. But after writing this Bullet Journal I can stick to my daily routine and my mornings are stress free. I can keep up with my  household work to my personal time,  surveys  and working constantly to improve my work. Here you go these are the areas I can say there is an improvement  because of writing Bullet Journal. Meal plan : The meal plan is the biggest time saver. After I started planning my next day  meals,  I cut veggies for next day check whether all ingredients are available and my mornings are stress free.  Now I don't run in the mornings to prepare Breakfast and Lunch and I can have that clean kitchen by mid...

5 Ideas To Maintain An Organised Wardrobe

Image
Finally, I succeeded in maintaining an organised wardrobe.  After making many trials  but still having a frequent mess I thought of where did it  go wrong and what is that making my wardrobe a messy thing. I tracked my wardrobe in my bullet journal   ( see my posts on Bullet Journal, Live Every Day ) for one month and then I have listed these 5 things to have an organised wardrobe. 5 ways you can maintain an organised wardrobe 1. Purge your wardrobe every 3 months: Every 3 months I have started reorganising my wardrobe and find it helpful to remove any clothes which does not fit, out of fashion, faded. For me this process of decluttering clothes was difficult initially but I made it ruthlessly to make an organised and nice wardrobe.  2. Organise small clothes in separate baskets:  Though I cannot organise in a professional way I kept those small items like socks, Napkins, inner wear neatly folded in small baskets. Those small sq...

LIVE EVERY DAY Writing A Bullet Journal.

Image
LIVE EVERY DAY WRITING BULLET JOURNAL Live Every Day Writing A Bullet Journal. After 3 months of writing the B ullet Journal I can see myself organised than before. Initially I felt I don't have time to write all that plan but when I started writing it helped me to be organised. Spend 10 minutes every day, 30 minutes a month and 1 hour a year in writing Bullet Journal, and it keeps you organised and helps you achieve your goals in time. If you write a Bullet Journal (see my other post on how to write a Bullet Journal ) 1.You have lists of tasks written on paper then,  you don't waste your time on what to do and concentrate on your work.  2.It will be an inspiration in doing things because you have year planner written and you have your to do list with you. If you open the book you can see how much you have done and it makes you work. 3.If you write the time it takes to complete a task, then you don't postpone things just for no reason. You hav...

What is a Bullet Journal

Image
Do you like planning ahead? Did you ever imagine planning your complete year. Did you tried anything like that before? Then here is a post from my blog on Bullet Journal the concept of planning. In today's digital world with mobiles and apps writing  something on a paper became a rare thing. This concept of Bullet Journal is interesting which is a method of planning by writing it on a book. A Bullet Journal is an Yearly Planner, to do list, habit tracker,   and you can have an year ahead of your goals and your entire plan. This helps you to do things on time without any hurry. The Bullet Journal is an analog system in this digital world by Ryder Carroll . It helps in being organised and planned. To write a Bullet Journal you just need  a pen and a book.  If you browse Pinterest or Instagram you can find lots of colourful images and doodles. Newbies get overwhelmed by seeing that. But it is all the extra decoration for a new look. The me...

How to store vegetables to stay fresh and last longer

Image
Vegetables are perishable goods and storing it carefully is a must to have them fresh and last longer. Generally anyone go for vegetable shopping once a week and if we have a busy schedule sometimes it get extended to a fortnight. Even  if we store in refregirator, unless we do it carefully they get spoiled or does not stay fresh .  Here are few ideas to store vegetables: Tomatoes: Take a bowl and fill it with water and add some salt. Keep tomatoes in that bowl. It stays fresh longer.  Ladys Finger or Okra : Always store ladys finger in a paper bag rather than in a polythene cover. Never keep Potatoes and Onions together. Always remove the stems of green chillies and store them in airtight containor. The stems will spoil the green chillies and removing them will make less clutter while cooking. Leafy vegetables : Cut the roots of Leafy Vegetables which has dirt and remove any spoilt leaves. Store them in air tight containor. Always cut the stem of bottle...

Babies on the move

Image
About babies: I had a post previously about babies, their growth and development ( Enjoy...Struggle, Development and Growth of Baby). This is the continuation of that post. For the first six months babies lay down on the bed and roll over but cannot move. They learn and develop on their own with their commitment and dedication. From 7 months they can able to crawl, hold the furniture and cruise along the house. They reach near an object. They become more mobile.  They are on the way in exploring this new world. The later part of the first year is entirely opposite of what has been for the first six months. How excited and interested they are in exploring the things. They want to touch every object to feel the texture as everything is completely new for them and everything ends up in their mouth.  As they crawl they can able to find tiny objects on the floor, which we cannot see and they put them in their mouth. They clap hands if they find anything interest...

The Birth of River Godavari

The River Godavari also called as River Gouthami links to River Ganga and Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva placed River Ganga on his head. The wife of Lord Shiva, Parvathi was angry on Shiva and want to separate Ganga from Lord Shiva. For this she asked her son Vinayaka to do the needful. There was a Rishi called Gouthama on Brahmagiri Mountain. He was lord shiva devotee and was given a boon so that the crops yield out within minutes of planting the seeds at any climatic conditions. With that boon he used have   food daily  for him as well for people who come to his Ashrama.  Once Gouthama planted some seeds in a place and started doing meditation. As it is as at that place crops yield out immediately.  Observing this Vinayaka  created one Maya Cow and kept it in the middle of the plants. The cow started eating all those plants.  After his meditation Gauthama came and saw the cow eating all the crops. Immediately he took one grass bl...

Pushkaralu----Origin and Importance

On the  eve of coming Krishna Pushkaralu here is a post from my blog about the origin and importance of Pushkaralu. Rivers take the sins of humans when they take bath in them. The purification of those sins from river is called as Pushkaram.  Once a Brahmin named Pushakara who was concerned about the sins the rivers are taking from the humans  did penance asking lord Shiva for the Jalathva Siddhi. Pleased with his prayers lord Shiva granted him the boon. Lord Brahma prayed lord Shiva and took the Pushkara Tathva into his Kamandalam. The importance of Pushkara has reached all rivers and Bruhaspathi (Jupiter) asked pushkara for the Pushkaratathvam. But he  did not accepted it. With the prayers of Rivers and Bruhaspathi Brahma spoke with Pushkara. So he accepted to stay with Bruhaspathi when he enters particular Zodiac sign  of the respective River for the first 12 days and last 12 days in the rivers stated by Lord Brahma. ...

Enjoy...Struggle, Development and Growth of Baby

Image
A new born baby........looks so cute. It is an amazing and wonderful experience to observe baby development stages. I find it  interesting to observe baby development day to day and am following some websites www.babycenter.com, www.webmd.com, www.netmums.com to have an understanding about what changes will be in the next month. As I read in the websites prior so I can observe very minor changes in the baby development. The first thing babies do when they were born is to start crying but to my astonishment I came to know that they don't get tears until they complete 3 months. In the first month baby sleeps for 22 hours a day and cannot respond to others. From second month day time sleep gets reduced and they learn to move hands and legs by third month they learn to smile and start responding to others. I disagree with the opinion of many people that babies lives are happy as they don't have any hindrances in their life and somebody will take care of ...

The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles

The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles a book written 100 years ago.   The title attracted me to go into the details of the book  and started  listening to this audio book.   It has 17 chapters and can be listened within a span of  2 hours. I started listening to this book after first 2 chapters why we need to be rich and meaning of being rich. It says, there is a scientific way to get rich and to be rich is not just earning money and enjoying worldly pleasures but it is helping yourself and others. Later it goes on with the Principle of the Scientific Way of Getting Rich.  Some of the interesting points which got my attention Be Creative and not Competitive in your work. As competing with others always distracts our mind from what we do. With this we will be in a hurry to do the work with the fear of failure or feeling that someone steals our success. There is a certain way to do the work  and do it in that way with ...
