Capsicum Tomato Curry

Capsicum when combined with tomato  gives a tangy and spicy taste which is delicious. This is prepared with minimum ingredients which makes it  easy to prepare when we are in a hurry

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serves : 3 people.

Ingredients:

Capsicum: 4 (chopped into small pieces)
Tomato: 1 (finely chopped)
Green chillies: 2
Garam masala: small pinch
Mustard seeds:  1 tsp
Cumin seeds: 1tsp
Split Bengal gram: 1tsp
Urad dal: 1 tsp
Red chillies: 1
Asafoetida: pinch
Oil: 4 tsp
Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste.

Procedure:

Heat oil in a Kadai add mustard seeds let it splutter then add split bengal gram, urad dal, cumin seeds, red chiily and asafoetida, saute it  and add capsicum pieces. Leave it for 2 minutes stirring occassionally.
Now add tomatoes, salt and garam masala. Cover with a lid and let it cook for few minutes stirring occassionally, till becomes tender. 
Add  red chilli powder (if you don't eat spicy then no need to add red chilli powder) and cover with a lid simmer for 2 minutes.

Serve hot with steamed rice along with ghee or Roti (Indian flat bread).
