Bottlegourd Sweet curry
Bottle gourd sweet curry is a simple and easy recipe prepared in just 30 minutes. It is prepared with less oil and with sugar, besan flour it tastes good. A sweet and spicy curry for your lunch or dinner menu. Here goes the procedure
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves 4 people.
Ingredients:
Bottle gourd: 1/2 piece (finely chopped)
Green chillies: 7(sliced)
Besan flour: 3tsp
Sugar:3tsp
Curry leaves: few
Mustard seeds: 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds:1/4tsp
Red chillies: 2
Oil 3tsp
Turmeric powder: small pinch
Asafoetida: small pinch
Salt to taste
Preparation:
Take finely chopped bottled gourd pieces in a large bowl and fill it with water. Now boil it until it becomes soft.
Take a kadai add 3 tsp oil and add mustard seeds. When it splutters add cumin seeds, split urad dal and split chana dal, asafoetida and red chillies. Saute it until it turns golden brown. Now add green chillies and curry leaves. Saute it for a minute
Add cooked bottle gourd, turmeric powder and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
Now add sugar and besan flour. Mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve hot steamed rice along with ghee or roti (indian flat bread).
